View this post on Instagram Not gonna lie it’s been hard to be creative right now. The news is overwhelming, it feels like every company is virtue signaling and not truly committed to making real change, racist practices we all knew existed are being unearthed and it just feels like a lot all at once. All of this is on top of my personal grief left me tired and searching for what to say. Being with my family last week showed me that there is still joy to be had. I found it hard to find it on my own when we returned home and my husband had to focus on work. I had to give myself permission to feel tired and sad and not be productive. I hope every black person is taking the time they need to take care of their mental health and make time to find joy. Even if it doesn’t come back quickly it will come. I promise. 🌻 #blacklivesmatter #blackjoymatters #coilyandcute A post shared by Sharee Miller | Coilyandcute (@coilyandcute) on Jun 12, 2020 at 2:53pm PDT
