The painting was created by ... (I'll find the name for you in a bit) and I first saw it (just two Soyinka faces) in the wonderful book Contemporary Nigerian Art in Lagos Private Collections: New Trees in an Old Forest. Next weekend, I'll be able to check in the book for the name of the artist.
The blogger at North of Lagos where I found the digital image is Cara Titilayo Harshman and she took the photograph of the work which is usually displayed (on a marble wall?) at OYASAF - the private home and collection of Otunba Yemisi Adebola Shyllon, in Ikeja (Maryland) Lagos.
Sure glad that Nobel Laureate Wole Soyinka keeps writing. What are your thoughts on the man, his books, his look even? Spill, tell.
